Soil borings and analysis
Determines soil consistency and composition, water table impact on site and presence of rock or boulders.
Soil gradation
A procedure to assess the particle size distribution (also called gradation) of a granular material. The size distribution is of importance to the way the material performs in use.
Bearing capacity
The ability of soil to safely carry pressure placed on it from any engineered structure without undergoing a failure from significant settlements.
Compaction
Compaction can be determined in several ways. We offer the DCP method to determine soil capacity.
Soil properties (pH, resistivity)
Soil pH measures soils’ alkalinity or acidity. pH is measured on a scale of 1-14, with 7 as the neutral mark. Soil resistivity measures how much soil resists the flow of electricity. Along with pH, it indicates the corrosive potential of the soil.
